Guidelines

Cut-Offs

  • Every participant needs to know when the event ends. Timing is recorded at random intervals along the course in addition to the Start/Finish line. The participant needs to be aware of the intermediate cut-off times in particular. Even though they cross the finish line within the allotted time, a participant who misses a cut-off will receive a Did-Not-Finish (DNF) result.
  • Individuals who fail to meet the intermediate cut-off times will be unable to continue with the course. We will gather these participants and transport them to the finish line using our sweeper vehicles.

Did-Not-Finish

  • Did-Not-Finish (DNF) refers to a runner who did not fulfil any of the above-mentioned qualifications for a Finish. An official timing certificate or finishing buckle will not be awarded to such runners.
  • Note that competitors must finish the course in the registered class. It follows that even if a runner registered for the 144-kilometre category completes the 60-kilometre distance within the allotted time, they will not be considered a 60-kilometre finisher.

Did-Not-Start

  • A DNS will also be applied to a registered participant who did not begin the race.

Pulling Out

  • A runner may choose to withdraw from the race at any time, but they must do so at an aid station. Until a race vehicle with authorization picks them up, they have to stay there. Furthermore, a race official or a member of the medical team may request that a runner withdraw. Because these choices are made for your protection, we ask that runners abide by them.
